Casio has officially launched the Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 series, and this feels like one of the biggest design changes the brand has made in years. For the first time, a digital Pro Trek watch drops the classic round case and goes fully angular. And yes, it looks bold, rugged and very 2026.

The new lineup includes three models, PRG-69-1, PRG-69-4, and PRG-69B-1. All of them take design inspiration from the PRW-6900 but push it further with a sharp octagonal case that instantly stands out on the wrist.

Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 build quality

The Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 is clearly built for outdoor life. The case is made from flame-retardant, bio-based resin. This is not a marketing drama, the material can self-extinguish if sparks hit it during camping or cooking. That’s a smart move for real trekkers.

Key build details are listed below:

  • Solid octagonal case with mineral crystal

  • Size: 52.5 × 46.4 × 14.4 mm

  • Textured buttons for better grip, even with gloves

Casio is clearly saying this watch is made to be used, not babied.

Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 display and sensors

The Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 uses a Duplex LCD, and this is where things get practical. The top layer shows large compass graphics in color, while the bottom keeps time and sensor data clean and readable. Outdoors, clarity matters, and Casio nailed it.

Triple Sensor features include the following:

  • Digital compass with 16-point bearing

  • Altimeter from −700 to 10,000 meters

  • Barometer with pressure trend alerts

  • Thermometer from −10°C to 60°C

It also runs on Tough Solar charging. No Multiband 6 here, which may disappoint some users, but for most outdoor folks, solar power matters more.

Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 pricing

The PRG-69-1 and PRG-69-4 launch in Japan this month at ¥29,700 (around $190). Europe already shows preorders at €200 with March shipping. The PRG-69B-1 price is still unconfirmed but should sit in the same range.

The Casio Pro Trek PRG-69 feels like a fresh reset. The angular design finally gives Pro Trek a modern, aggressive identity. If you love outdoor gear that looks tough and actually is tough, this watch makes total sense.
