Tata Motors, one of India's leading automakers, sells vehicles across multiple segments. The manufacturer will officially launch the mid-size SUV, the Tata Sierra, tomorrow. We're sharing details about the SUV's features, its powerful engine, and its expected price.

Tata Motors will officially launch the Tata Sierra SUV tomorrow (25/11/2025). The SUV was recently unveiled by the manufacturer. It will be launched as a mid-size SUV.

What will its features be?

Tata is expected to offer several impressive features in its Sierra SUV. The manufacturer is expected to offer features like connected LED taillamps, flush door handles, a panoramic glass roof, black ORVMs, Level-2 ADAS, a triple-screen layout, touch-based climate control, and ambient lighting.

How powerful is the engine?

The Tata Sierra will be available in three powertrains: petrol, diesel, and electric. Its new 1.5L turbo-petrol engine is expected to produce around 170 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, while the Sierra EV will be based on Tata's new ACTI.ev platform. It could be offered with a 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery pack option, with an estimated range of 400 to 500 kilometres. The electric variant will further strengthen Tata's EV leadership in India.

The cabin of the new Sierra is no less than that of a premium car, with a large sunroof and well-designed windows that make it appear spacious. The B-pillar and doors are also beautifully designed. A taillight is integrated into the boot gate. Features like lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking will make driving safe and easy. The new Tata Sierra features a 12-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and flush-type door handles, making it one of the most sought-after SUVs in its price range.

What will it cost?

The manufacturer will reveal the exact price at launch. However, it is expected to launch in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹12-13 lakh.

Bookings are ongoing

According to media reports, some dealers are unofficially accepting bookings for this SUV. However, the manufacturer has not yet opened bookings.

Who will it compete with?

The upcoming Tata Sierra will come with a five-seat option. In this segment, it will compete directly with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, and Tata Harrier.
