Pop star Justin Bieber shared a video last day and surprised his fans, not in a positive way. The 28 YO singer has Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and can’t blink his eyes due to paralysis on one side of his face. He can’t even smile and thus won’t be able to continue his shows for some time.

It's serious, says Justin and requested fans to understand his condition. He will be taking full rest and get back soon. As of now, he is not sure when he will get normal but he asked for fans' support and trust in God. Let’s hope for his speedy recovery and know more about this facial paralysis.

Also known as herpes zoster oticus, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is caused when a nerve in the head is affected by varicella-zoster. This virus is also responsible for causing shingles and chickenpox. After a time, it reactivates and disrupts the functioning of a facial nerve in an ear.

However, the cause of reactivation of this virus is not known. But, if not treated on time, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome can result into permanent deafness or weakening of facial muscle.
