The death case of Sushant Singh Rajput has been a matter of controversy, with a worker at Cooper Hospital alleging that the actor was murdered. Gupteshwar Pandey, the former Director General of Police in Bihar, has stated that the Mumbai Police may be hiding something in relation to the case.

Pandey was in charge of the investigation in 2020, when the actor’s father filed an FIR in Patna and the Bihar Police were sent to Mumbai to conduct an investigation. Pandey has now stated that the Mumbai Police did not cooperate with his team during the investigation.

In his recent statements, Pandey has alleged that the Mumbai Police behaved unethically towards his team and even placed one of their officers under house arrest.

He stated, “The Mumbai Police’s behaviour towards a team of officers sent from Bihar was unethical and it was then that I believed they were hiding something. An IPS officer was sent who was kept under house arrest.” This adds to the ongoing controversy surrounding the case and raises questions about the actions of the Mumbai Police.

Pandey also stated that his team did not have sufficient time to investigate the matter due to the obstacles placed by the Mumbai Police. He said, “My team and I did not get enough time for investigation. If I would have had 15 days, the case would have been solved and the case would not have been handled the way it is being done.” This suggests that Pandey believes the case has not been thoroughly investigated and that the Mumbai Police may have hindered the progress of the investigation.

Pandey, who is now a priest, also pointed out that the situation may improve now that the government in Maharashtra has changed and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the case.

He said, “Now the government there (Maharashtra) has changed, hope the truth comes out. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been formed to investigate the entire situation.” It remains to be seen if the formation of the SIT and the change in government will lead to any new developments in the case.

Previously, the case took a new turn when a senior worker at Cooper Hospital, where Sushant Singh Rajput’s post-mortem was conducted, claimed that the actor’s body showed injury marks and did not appear to be a suicide. The worker stated, “When I saw Sushant’s body, it did not appear to be a case of suicide. Injury marks were there on his body. I had over 28 years of experience. I went to my senior but he said we will discuss it later.” This statement adds to the ongoing speculation and controversy surrounding the circumstances of Sushant Singh Rajput death.

Roopkumar Shah, the senior worker at Cooper Hospital, provided further details about the day of the post-mortem. He said, “When the clothes were removed, there were beating marks on the body. There were injury marks at two or three places on the neck. It seemed as if the hands and legs were broken due to beating. There were deep injury marks on the body. The video shoot was to happen, but whether it happened or not. Seniors were also asked to work on the photos only. So, we worked on it.” These statements suggest that Shah believes Sushant Singh Rajput death may not have been a suicide and that there were indications of violence on the actor’s body.

Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020, at his apartment in Mumbai. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the case in the same year, but as of now, no closure report has been filed. The circumstances surrounding Sushant’s death and the investigation into it have been the subject of much controversy and speculation.
