Sushant Singh Rajpoot Gets Verified At Twitter; Ex-Twitter Chief Questions Elon Musk

Sushant

Manish Maheshwari, the former head of Twitter India, has questioned Elon Musk on the organization’s most recent guidelines for the coveted Blue Tick on Twitter.

Maheshwari questioned Musk on Twitter over how the late Indian actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s Twitter account obtained a Bue Tick while the verification process requires verifying a mobile number.

According to him, either Musk is “lying” to the public about the new authentication method, or “people have figured out a way to carry their phone in the afterlife.”

Maheshwari spent nearly three years at Twitter in the roles of Director/GM and Senior Director, New Markets Entry. He hasn’t got a Blue subscription yet. The Blue Tick was therefore removed from the profile.

Soon after posting his initial tweet, Maheshwari justified it in a follow-up tweet, saying his goal was to “bring out the chaos and confusion surrounding the Blue Tick.”

He also expressed his “great respect” for the late actor and how much he enjoyed his performance in the MS Dhoni biopic. Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) allegedly committed himself before passing away in June 2020. Authorities are looking into what caused his death.

Along with Maheshwari, other Twitter users have criticized the social media platform over Sushant Singh Rajpoot’s blue tick account and its updated verification policies that ensure the Blue Tick.

On their Twitter profiles, several deceased people, including the late Indian TV star Sidharth Shukla, have the Blue verified checkmark. Michael Jackson, Chadwick Boseman, and Kobe Bryant are a few more such individuals.

Twitter explicitly states that a Twitter Blue subscription, which costs Rs 900 per month in India, is the only way to ensure a Blue badge. Verifying phone numbers is another step in the process.

Twitter Breaches Its Own Policies

However, it is obvious that Twitter, which is owned by Musk, appears to be breaching its own policies in order to keep famous users on the site.

Some individuals might not appreciate getting a free Blue Tick on their profile. Musk should donate his Twitter Blue subscription funds to a charity, according to author Stephen King. “The Prytula Foundation, which offers life-saving assistance in Ukraine, comes highly recommended.

Perhaps Mr. Musk could add a little bit more since it’s only $8,” he said. Famous tech journalist Kara Swisher expressed her displeasure about Blue Tick’s return to her profile without her “consent.”

Do let us know in the comment section whether that is Sushant Singh Rajpoot’s Twitter verification propaganda or just a mistake.
