The Deol family, which includes actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, arrived at Har Ki Pauri Ghat in Haridwar on December 3rd. A large police presence was present to supervise the activities related to the funeral process of their grandfather, Dharmendra, to ensure a peaceful setting for the family's farewell ritual. Upon arrival, Sunny, Bobby, and the rest of the Deol family were in a state of grief, as they were all dressed in white and showing great emotion.
Karan Deol performed the most important of the funeral acts for his deceased grandfather. Karan's grandfather, Dharmendra, was a very strong influence on Karan, which was reflected in the way Karan conducted himself during the rituals with love and respect for his grandfather. The ash was scattered into the river Ganges, with the priests performing the appropriate rituals while the family and friends chanted stotras to pay respect to their deceased family member, and we could see how much they all cared for him.
Sunny Deol's anger at the media went viral
Even though everything was peaceful for most of the process, it did build up to a point of some tension. In a now-famous viral video available through social media outlets, Sunny Deol took a very aggressive approach towards paparazzi, angrily requesting them to stop shooting video and walk away from the family
He asked angrily, "Did you sell your shame? For how much?"
The family's anxiety over media hyperactivity surrounding their father's death contributed to the creation of this memorable video of Sunny Deol losing control.
