The match between Afghanistan and South Africa ended in a tie. Both teams scored 187 runs each in the first 20 overs. Afghanistan needed just two runs from three balls to win in the last over, but Fazalhaq Farooqi was run out on the fourth ball, forcing the match into a Super Over.

Both teams scored 17 runs each in the first Super Over. Tristan Stubbs tied the scores with a six off the last ball. The match then went into a double Super Over, in which South Africa scored 23 runs from six balls, while Afghanistan failed to achieve the target of 24 runs.
