The wedding of Indian women's cricket star Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal has been postponed indefinitely. On Sunday (November 23), the wedding day, Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suddenly fell ill, leading to his hospitalization. Now, the doctor has provided a major update on his condition, and the family has clarified that the wedding will only proceed once he recovers.

Amidst the ongoing preparations, Shrinivas Mandhana experienced chest pain during breakfast on Sunday morning.He was quickly transferred to Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Center. In a statement, Director Dr. Naman Shah confirmed that pain indicates toword the heart attack.

• Initial tests have revealed an increase in cardiac enzymes, indicating heart strain.
• His blood pressure has been on the higher side.
• Doctors have recommended further ECG monitoring. 
• Angioplasty may also be performed if the situation warrants it.
• While the heart echocardiogram report is currently clear, it does not mean there is no danger hence his continued close observation.
• Doctors believe his condition may be due to physical and mental stress associated with the wedding preparations and the excitement of the celebrations. 

When will the wedding take place? A clear decision from the family

Smriti's manager, Tuhin Mishra, told the media that Shrinivas Mandhana will remain in the hospital for the time being, and his complete recovery is the family's priority. Smriti has personally decided not to proceed with the wedding until her father recovers. This step reflects her sense of responsibility and connection to her family.
