This year has been quite remarkable for silver and those investing in it. From January 1st to December 15th, the price of silver more than doubled. So far this year, silver prices have seen a phenomenal increase of ₹1,09,800, or 122.41 percent. The price of silver was ₹89,700 per kilogram on December 31, 2024, and more than doubled to ₹1,99,500 per kilogram by December 15th. It is noteworthy that today, the price of silver remained unchanged in the Delhi bullion market, holding steady at ₹1,99,500 per kilogram.
Silver Prices Surge in Futures Market

Last Friday, silver prices in the Delhi bullion market witnessed a sharp increase of ₹5100, reaching a new high of ₹1,99,500 per kilogram. Furthermore, silver prices also rose in the futures market today. On MCX, silver for March 2026 delivery rose by ₹5255 (2.72 percent) to ₹1,98,106 per kilogram. However, this was lower than Friday's all-time high of ₹2,01,615 per kilogram. Last week, silver prices saw a bumper increase of ₹9443 (5.15 percent).
COMEX Also Registers Gains

Additionally, on COMEX today, silver for March delivery rose by $1.74 (2.80 percent) to $63.74 per ounce. On Friday, it had crossed the $65 per ounce mark. However, it later softened slightly due to profit-taking.
Gold Prices Reach All-Time High Today
While silver prices remained stable in the Delhi bullion market today, gold prices witnessed a sharp increase. Today, gold of 99.9 percent purity reached an all-time high of ₹1,37,600 per 10 grams, registering a massive increase of ₹4,000. Last Friday, 99.9 percent pure gold had closed at ₹1,33,600 per 10 grams. Before this, on October 17, gold had reached a level of ₹1,34,800 per 10 grams.
