Sidharth Malhotra says he 'couldn't speak at all' When he met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time

Sidharth Malhotra remembered his initial meeting with Shah Rukh Khan on the set of My Name is Khan, where he was working as an assistant director.

The actor said he was tongue-tied, but Shah Rukh made him feel relaxed.

Sidharth Malhotra worked as Assistant Director on Karan's My Name Is Khan

Prior to his acting debut in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year (2012) alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra worked as an assistant director on Karan's My Name Is Khan (2010).

He did secure a role, but the film never got made. He abandoned the production when it changed directors, conveying his lack of confidence in the project.

To gain experience, he then opted to become an assistant director, reasoning that he would be able to learn more on a real set than in film school.
