Get Ready For a Shortcut To Block People On WhatsApp!

A new 'Block' shortcut feature is reportedly being developed by Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp for San Francisco users. According to WABetaInfo, this shortcut would give users the ability to block unknown and untrusted contacts right away from within the notifications. However, the shortcut will only be displayed when a message is received from an unfamiliar source.

To avoid mistakenly activating the block action when responding to notifications from trusted contacts, this new shortcut will be available in the next software update of the app.
