What is the reason for the Resignation from Lallantop
At the age of 41, Saurabh Dwivedi resigned from his role at The Lallantop and India Today Group Digital after about 12 years of organization and his resignation was early in January 2026. He expressed his feelings to his team and viewers. He shared that he needs a short break before beginning the next phase of his life and his journey.

Saurabh Dwivedi married his long-term girlfriend, Gunjan Dwivedi, and he soon wed just after finishing his studies in 2010. The couple prefers to keep their personal lives largely private.

Sourabh Dwivedi was born on April 22, 1983, in Chamrari village, Uttar Pradesh. Before moving to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where he pursued Hindi Literature. He first studied Mathematics at Allahabad University. After that, he completed higher studies and professional training in journalism.
Under his positive mindset of guidance, The Lallantop grew into one of India’s most popular Hindi digital news outlets, especially known for its current affairs study.
After 12 years of India Today Hindi
Saurabh Dwivedi became a part of the India Today Group as a Features Editor at Aajtak. in. Over the years, with his journalist's eye and a key to reporting, he emerged as one of the group's most prominent editorial leaders. He is the founding editor of Lallantop, and under his wings, it grew into a famous digital platform. Lallantop soon became an influential name among the youth of India, who loved the Hindi reporting style.

After nearly 12 years with India Today Group, Saurabh Dwivedi stepped down from his role as Editor of the digital news platform, Lallantop, and India Today Hindi. Saruabh's work, he was keen to create a new platform and bring Hindi journalism to the masses. After his exit as editorial leader, it will be given to Kuldeep Mishra, who is going to take over the full responsibility of the channel. Rajat Sain would be heading the Production Team, as they were both important founding members of Lallantop.
Taking to his social media handle, Saurabh Dwivedi penned a gratitude note
"Thank you Lallantop for the recognition, lessons, and encouragement. Best wishes for the future. Our association ends here. I'll talk about study leave and then my future plans. You all have taught me a lot. The worldwill continue to exist; if we don't exist, someone like us will. Thank you for the respect, recognition, and knowledge. After a pause, we prepare for a new journey."
