Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold: Samsung has once again made waves with its new trifold device. On Tuesday, the company launched its first dual-folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold. The device features a triple rear camera setup. It will be available for sale in South Korea later this month.

Notably, the device features a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on the inside, and a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display on the outside. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, built on a 3nm process. Let's take a closer look at this new device...

The Galaxy Z Trifold features two different hinge sizes based on a dual-rail design. The phone's frame is made of armored aluminum to prevent the screens from colliding when folded. Ceramic-glass fiber-reinforced polymer is also used on the back, which helps prevent cracks. Samsung claims that when the phone is folded, the screens come together very closely, but there is a safe gap between them.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold features a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization. The device also has a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 102-degree field of view. The phone also has a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 30x digital zoom capability.

You also get a 10-megapixel selfie camera on both the cover and inner display. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold packs a 5,600mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.

10-inch Display: A Three-in-One Experience

When fully opened, the Galaxy Z Trifold's 10-inch display feels like three 6.5-inch smartphones stacked together. The display features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, making scrolling and gaming smooth. The cover screen's brightness reaches 2600 nits, while the main screen delivers 1600 nits, making it clearly visible even in sunlight.

The Galaxy Z Trifold features a 10-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with excellent resolution and brightness. The cover screen measures 6.5 inches, and both displays support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone weighs 309 grams and is 12.9mm thick when folded. The rear camera setup includes three cameras: a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 200MP primary camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. The front cameras include two 10MP sensors—one on the cover screen and one on the main screen.

The phone comes with 16GB of RAM and two storage options—512GB and 1TB. MicroSD card support is not available. Security options include Samsung Knox Vault, IP48 water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone runs on Android 16 and One UI 8. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, 5G, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The smartphone will initially be available in a stunningly crafted black color. Its design is built on premium materials such as Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, a fiber-reinforced back, and a titanium frame, providing both strength and a premium feel.

When and where will the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold be available?

Samsungis launching this phone first in South Korea on December 12, 2025. It will then be available in major markets like China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the USA. However, no information has been revealed about its price or launch date in India. Indian users will have to wait a little longer.
