New Delhi: Samsung is reportedly introducing a new "droplet" style hinge for its forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 flagship smartphone, which is internally referred to as a "dumbbell" hinge. According to a tipster named Ice Universe, the feature is said to reduce the device's display crease. 9To5Google reported the news.

The company has already implemented updates in previous designs, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which featured dustproof brushes compared to the original Z Flip, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a new hinge design, according to IANS.

It is reported that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be released in August of this year, and it is said to be water-resistant despite its new hinge.
