The recent revelation in the Pandora papers leak case has shocked the world as the name of Sachin Tendulkar is involved among 300 Indians on the list. Anjali Tendulkar, wife of Sachin, and Anand Mehta, his father-in-law, are also identified as the beneficiaries’ owners of an entity Saas International Limited.
Sachin, Anjali, and Anand Mehta had their name registered as BO and directors in the Company which was liquidated in 2016. At that time, the company had a total of 90 shares worth $8.6 million. Within 3 months of liquidations, shareholders including Sachin and his family bought back the shares regarding which there are no further details as per the reports.

Sachin’s Legal Advocate Denies The Claim

After the break out of names mentioned in the Pandora Papers case, an advocate of Sachin has given clarification. He said that all the investments made by Tendulkar are legal and informed the tax department of India.

Mrinmoy Mukherjee, who is the CEO and director of Sachin Tendulkar Foundation has come forward and said that income tax authorities are informed about the tax payments by Sachin. He further said figures of investment quoted by the agencies are incorrect.

Along with Sachin, Chairman of Reliance ADAG Anil Ambani, Nirav Modi’s sister Purvi, husband of Kiran Mazumder Shaw, Jackie Shroff are also mentioned in the Pandora Papers leak case. There are more than 300 Indians involved overall. Apart from India, seven names from Pakistan are also included. Further revelation will be made in few days.
