According to the report, Nayar, aged 59, experienced an astounding 963% rise in her wealth over the year, securing her position as the second richest woman in the country.
However, she is still behind Malhotra, aged 40 and the daughter of HCL Technologies' founder Shiv Nadar.
On the other hand, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the CEO of Biocon, saw her fortune decline by 21%, leading to a shift in her rank as she now holds the third position as the richest woman in the country with a total wealth of Rs 29,030 crores.

Qualifications to be in this list
- The selection of 100 distinguished women entrepreneurs hails from India, comprising those who were either born or raised in the country, and are currently engaged in actively overseeing their businesses or have achieved success through self-reliance.
- These 100 women have amassed a collective net worth of Rs 4.16 lakh crore in 2021, marking an impressive 53 percent upsurge from Rs 2.72 lakh crore in 2020, and their contribution to India's nominal GDP has now reached 2 percent.
- The threshold for qualification in the top 100 has been raised to Rs. 300 crore from its previous amount of Rs. 100 crore.
- Moreover, the cut-off for the top 10 has been set at Rs. 6,620 crore, representing a 10% uptick from the prior year.

Other Achievements of women in the list
A breakdown by sector reveals that pharmaceuticals leads the pack with 12 entrants, trailed by healthcare at 11 and consumer goods at nine among the top 100 richest women in India.
- Apollo Hospitals Enterprise leads with the highest contribution of four entrants, followed by Metro Shoes and Devi Sea Foods with two entrants each.
- At the age of 33, Kanika Tekriwal, who heads Jetsetgo based in Bhopal, has emerged as the youngest entrepreneur on the list. Her wealth has grown by 50% and currently stands at Rs 420 crore.
