Robert Kelly’s sexual abuse charges will be dropped by cook County state’s attorney Kim Foxx.
Chicago prosecutor dropping sexual abuse charges against singer R. Kelly who is already facing decades in prison after being convicted of federal charges.
The news came at the moment just a month before the court hearing related to the charges that accuse him of sexually abusing four people, three of whom were minors.
Cook County Attorney Foxx Dropped the Robert Kelly Sexual Abuse Charges
Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx released the statement “her office “will no longer be pursuing these indictments” and will ask a judge to dismiss those charges.
“Sometimes justice is served even when there is no conviction.”
Attorney Kim Foxx put charges against Robert Kelly in 2019.

What Charges have Faced by Robert Kelly So Far?
A grammy award winner Robert Kelly was indicted for several crimes like child pornography, racketeering, enticement, and sex trafficking.
Many women complained about Robert Kelly sexual abuse. The US District Judge Ann Donnelly announced the sexual abuse charges against Kelly, which will put him behind the bar till the age of 80.
Last year he was also convicted of another sexual crime charge for which a hearing will be scheduled on 23rd February in the Chicago Federal court on counts of child pornography and enticing a minor.

“I have spent nearly twenty years hoping that my abuser would be brought to justice for what he did to me,” she said, “With today’s announcement, all hope of justice for my case is gone.”
