Realme is starting 2026 with a bang. The company has officially confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro series will launch in India on January 6, 2026, and the lineup will include two phones — Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G.

Even before the official launch, leaks have already spilled a lot of beans — from design and camera specs to the expected price of the Pro+ model. And honestly, that price leak is what’s getting everyone talking.

Realme 16 Pro+ India Price (Leaked)

According to popular tipster Paras Guglani, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G could carry an MRP of ₹43,999 for the 512GB variant. This info reportedly comes from a retail box image.

Now, box prices are usually on the higher side. Once launch offers, bank discounts, and online deals kick in, the actual selling price could land closer to ₹37,999 — but even then, it’s a big jump.

Why this price feels surprising:

  • There was no Realme 15 Pro+, so direct comparison is tricky

  • Realme 14 Pro+ launched at ₹29,999

  • That’s a massive price jump in just two generations, rising memory costs and upgraded camera hardware might explain it, but buyers will definitely notice the difference.

Competition Is Heating Up

The Realme 16 Pro series won’t have it easy. Xiaomi has already teased the Redmi Note 15, which is expected to launch around the same time. Early 2026 is shaping up to be pretty exciting for mid-range smartphone buyers.

The Realme 16 Pro series show just how fast the mid-range segment is evolving. Big batteries, high-resolution cameras, ultra-bright AMOLED displays, and long-term software support — Realme is clearly aiming higher this year.

That said, the leaked price of the Realme 16 Pro+ also sends a clear message: premium features now come with a premium price. Whether buyers feel the upgrade is worth it will depend on Realme’s final pricing and launch offers.

One thing’s for sure — 2026 is kicking off strong, and Realme is ready to make some serious noise.
