Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Creates History! Crossed ₹800 Crore Mark In India !

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has maintained its pace for the past month and is now among the top 5 highest-grossing Indian movies ever. Given its speed, it should soon overtake SS Rajamouli's RRR for the fourth position on the list. The question of how big of a hit Dhurandhar is now that it has been classified as an all-time blockbuster emerges.

Dhurandhar Surpassed Jawan and KGF 2 In Earnings

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has surpassed the lifetime earnings of two major hits in the last week: Jawan (₹1160 crore) and KGF Chapter 2 (₹1200 crore). Dhurandhar is currently vying for RRR's total of ₹1230 crore with a global haul of ₹1207 crore. In the previous week, it had already outperformed a few major films, such as Pathaan (₹1055 crore), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (₹921 crore), and Animal (₹915 crore).

Crossed More Than ₹800 Crores in India

According to trade reports, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar has made ₹775 crore net in India. Its production company, Jio Studios, estimates the figure at ₹800+ crore. The only Indian collections that surpass Dhurandhar are KGF Chapter 2 (₹860 crore), Pushpa 2, and Baahubali 2 (both ₹1000+ crore). In terms of domestic earnings, the Ranveer Singh film has even surpassed RRR (₹782 crore). In contrast, Jawan's ₹640 crore domestic gross—once a Bollywood record—seems insignificant.

Dhurandhar Has Not Done Well Internationally

The only reason Dhurandhar has not done as well internationally as other blockbusters is because of the Middle East prohibition. Despite still earning $31.5 million abroad, Dhurandhar lags behind other big-budget movies like Jawan ($47 million), Pathaan ($49 million), RRR ($53 million), and Baahubali 2 ($63 million). The Aditya Dhar movie has surpassed the foreign receipts of major hits like KGF 2 ($28 million) and Pushpa 2 ($31 million) despite not being released in the Middle East.

Why Dhurandhar Able To Acheive This Success.?

• Dhurandhar's comparatively smaller budget is what makes it a greater hit than nearly all of these movies. Nowadays, the majority of high-profile movies with superstars have budgets over ₹250 crore. For example,
• Pushpa 2 cost ₹350 crore, whereas Jawan cost ₹300 crore. The landing cost of KGF 2 was approximately ₹200 crore. Large-scale projects with budgets of up to ₹500 crore include Kalki 2898 AD and RRR. By contrast, Dhurandhar's reported budget is ₹125 crore.
• This indicates that Dhurandhar has made significantly more money at the box office than these movies.

Now Only Behind from Bahubali!

Numerous Hindi-language pan-Indian releases have also achieved enormous success. Pushpa 2: The Rule presently holds the record for the greatest domestic collection by a Hindi film with ₹812 crore, while Baahubali 2 brought in ₹511 crore. With ₹1234 crore net, it also leads all Indian box office profits across all languages. The only other movie to surpass ₹1000 crore in India is Baahubali 2.

Surpasses Aamir Khan's Dangal In Collection !

Dhurandhar is currently vying with Aamir Khan's Dangal for the all-time profitability record for a major release. Despite having a small budget of ₹70 crore, the movie achieved an incredible profit of more than 700%. Animal achieved a significant profit of almost 600% while having a comparatively small investment of ₹90 crore.

These numbers undervalue Chinese collections because they are managed by independent distributors in a very opaque market, rarely giving the original makers a sizable portion of the proceeds.
