The action thriller 'Dhurandhar' has surprised everyone with its spectacular collection. The film registered an increase of approximately 30% compared to its Monday collection. Furthermore, it maintained its strong hold over the weekend, something many big films struggle to do after their opening weekend. With its character-driven narrative and action-packed storyline, this fast-paced film is consistently drawing audiences to theaters, and its box office run looks set to be a long one.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Netflix has paid a record ₹130 crore for the streaming rights to "Dhruvandhar," including both parts. Reports suggest that the rights for "Dhruvandhar Part 1" and "Part 2" were sold for approximately ₹65 crore each.
"Dhruvandhar Deal ₹130 Crore" Netflix
This is considered a significant amount in today's market, as OTT prices have dropped considerably. This deal is a major achievement for Ranveer Singh. Overall, it is his biggest OTT deal to date.
"Dhruvandhar" is Aditya Dhar's second film. His first film, "Uri: The Surgical Strike," released in 2019, exceeded all expectations and became a blockbuster hit. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer won four National Film Awards, including Best Director (Aditya Dhar) and Best Actor (Vicky Kaushal). Fans are now speculating that "Dhruvandhar" might be directly connected to "Uri," potentially creating Aditya Dhar's own cinematic universe.
The second installment of the franchise, "Dhruvandhar 2," is now scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with Eid.
