Why Ramnavmi is celebrated?

According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Ram and his three brothers, Lakshman, Bharat, and Shatrughan, descended on Earth following the nine days of Chaitra Navratri, during which the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped. As a result, the festival commemorates Lord Ram's birthday, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Date and Auspicious time

On the Gregorian calendar, Ram Navami is observed in the month of Chaitra, which falls between March and April. Ram Navami will be observed on March 30 this year.

According to Panchang, the Navami tithi will be observed from 9:07 p.m. on March 29 to 11:30 p.m. on March 30. From 11:11 a.m. to 1:40 p.m., the Madhyanha Muhurat will take place. According to Hindu folklore, it's accepted that Ruler Smash was brought into the world during Madhyanha (Early afternoon) on Navami tithi.
