Ajay Devgn may make a comeback in the sequel of Raid as the director is ready with a fresh story based on Income Tax raids in the real life. This time it will be on the biggest raid in history. Around Rs 257 crore cash, 250 kg silver, 25 kg gold, and more were recovered from the premises of Kanpur-based perfume trader Piyush Jain.

120 hours long raid and 50 hours of investigation by the officials dig up the secrets of his immense wealth that he collected through illegal ways. Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak is going to make it even bigger and intriguing for the audience with Raid 2.

The announcement was made during the Kashi Film Festival held in Varanasi. Ajay Devgn, Illeana DCruz was in the lead roles in the original Raid that was released in 2018. So there is speculation that both the actors will return for the sequel too.
But there are no confirmations yet about the role of Ajay, neither by the director nor by the actor.
Talking about the collaboration of Kumar Mangat and Ajay Devgn, the duo co-own a production house ‘ Ajay Devgn Films.’ Their previous collaboration was for Drishyam which was again one of the hit movies of Bollywood.

Director Mangat has also given films like Pyar Ka Panchnama, Pagalpanti, Section 375, and more. Ajay Devgn may or may not be a part of the movie as he has already several projects for 2022 in the pipeline.
RRR, Runway 34, Maidaan, Thank God, are a few upcoming movies of Ajay Devgn. He was last seen in the Sooryavanshi in a cameo role along with Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.
Bhuj-The Pride of India was his recent movie which was again a real-life story from history, however, the movie could not do well as per the critics.
