With improved performance over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset in 

November of last year.It has Qualcomm's proprietary Oryon CPU with a maximum clock speed of 3.8GHz.For improved AI workloads, the chipset has a Hexagon NPU and an Adreno GPU.It is equipped with Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System AND THE FastConnect 7900 system, enabling support for Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in terms of CPU performance by up to 36%.

Upcoming Qualcomm Smartphones In India

The first smartphone with this new processor is the OnePlus 15R, which has already been released in India.The same chipset is available in China for Vivo's S50 Pro Mini. 

Smartphones With Qualcomm Processor

These upcoming handsets include models like the Realme Neo 8, iQOO Z11 Turbo, and Motorola Edge 70 Ultra.

Realme Neo 8

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU is confirmed to be included in Realme's forthcoming Neo 8.In India, it will be introduced later this month.

• It is confirmed to have a transparent rear panel and be available in a Cyber Purple colorway.
• One of the three rear cameras on the phone is probably going to have 120x zoom.
• This suggests that the smartphone may have a periscope telephoto lens.
• The camera island is accompanied by Realme's iconic Awakening Halo lighting effect.

iQOO z11 Turbo

Although the firm has not disclosed the phone's launch date, iQOO has been teasing the iQOO Z11 Turbo in China for a while.But it is confirmed to arrive in January with Qualcomm's recently released Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.The Canglang Floating Light, Halo Powder, Extreme Night Black, and Sky White (translated from Chinese) finishes of the

 phone are currently available for pre-order throughout the nation.

• There will be a 200-megapixel primary camera on the back of the iQOO Z11 Turbo.
• The phone will feature a glass back panel with rounded corners and a metal frame.
• For dust and water resistance, the phone will be built with an IP68 + IP69 rating.
• The phone will contain an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
• In China, the price will range from CNY 2,500 (approximately Rs. 32,000) to CNY 3,000 (about Rs. 38,000).

Motorola Signature

• Although Motorola has not confirmed the Motorola Signature's chipset specifically, it is often assumed 

           that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset will be included.

• It will premiere on January 7 and be available for purchase on Flipkart.
• It features a customizable shortcut key and a hole punch display design.

A triple back camera array, comprising a 50-megapixel sensor and a periscope telephoto sensor, may be included in the future smartphone.It probably has up to 16GB of RAM.A 6.7-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution is reportedly included.

Motorola x70 Air Pro

• The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 CPU is also probably going to be included in Motorola's Moto X70 Air Pro.
• Although Motorola has not officially confirmed the debut date, there are rumors that it will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1264 x 2780 pixels) OLED panel.
• It might be pre-installed with Android 16.
• It is anticipated that this model will be released in RAM capacities of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB and storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

At the back, the Moto X70 Air Pro could boast a triple-camera setup with three 50-megapixel sensors, including a periscope telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom. A 50-megapixel selfie camera is anticipated.It is tipped to feature a 5,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.

In addition to these models, companies like Vivo and Honor are anticipated to launch new flagship smartphones 

with this most recent SoC in the upcoming months;
