Muzzafarabad: Police lob teargas shells at protesting students

On Wednesday, A lot of people were seriously injured when police baton-charged and utilized gear gas shells to separate protesting students in Pakistan invaded Kashmir’s (PoK) Muzaffarabad.

Scores of pupils from the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir put on a demonstration over the non-provision of parking spaces in Muzaffarabad.

The protests led to clogged roads, which deeply resulted in traffic jams. When the activists denied clearing the area, police resorted to the use of force to separate them.

The police launched tear gas shells on the fighting students, who were obliged to retreat to the university premises.

Later, the students yelled slogans against the police and called them ‘terrorists.
