Pathaan Row: “We can’t afford any more flops”, Says Asha Parekh

Asha Parekh, a veteran actress, recently commented on the controversy surrounding Pathaan, the movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Radical groups have objected to the orange and green bikinis worn by Deepika in the Besharam Rang Song.

After Bajrang Dal activists vandalised the Ahmedabad mall, Parekh expressed her worry over moviegoers' security and experience, noting that people may be hesitant to go to the theatre out of fear of hooligans.

She expressed her concern that the industry should not become a victim of boycotts, as happened with Aamir Khan's film Laal Singh Chaddha. She said, “We can’t afford any more flops. I don’t know what the Censor Board says on this. But I am saying, remove the offending portion and ensure that the film gets a smooth release.”
