Oppo has been in the news for several days regarding its upcoming foldable phone Oppo Find N5. Now putting an end to all these rumors, the brand has officially revealed the launch date of its most awaited Find N5 foldable smartphone. Oppo is all set to launch this new foldable phone in the domestic market (China) on February 20. Along with this announcement, the company has released some pictures showing the stylish design and color options of the device.
Oppo Find N5 launch: Will it come to India?
Oppo has announced its global event to introduce the upcoming Oppo Find N5 on February 20. Although it is global, there is no trace of this teaser on the Oppo India website. This suggests that the Oppo Find N5 will launch in countries other than China, but it will not launch in India.
But there is nothing to worry about. Based on past trends, the Oppo Find N5 is expected to be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 and will be launched in India. The latest reports suggest that the OnePlus Open 2 will be launched by the second half of 2025.
Design and Display
The Oppo Find N5 features a sleek and premium design, making it one of the thinnest foldable phones ever, measuring just 9.2mm thick. It features a large 8.12-inch internal display, ensuring an immersive viewing experience. While details about the external display are still scarce, it is expected to offer a decent refresh rate and better brightness, giving the user a great viewing experience.
The back panel features a distinct round camera module, which makes it different from its previous model, the Find N3. The module features a triple-camera setup, with an LED flash, along with Hasselblad branding, which emphasizes its premium camera technology.
Performance
The Oppo Find N5 features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which delivers great performance for great multitasking and gaming. The device is expected to feature up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring lightning-fast speeds and ample storage capacity.
Camera setup
The Find N5 is tipped to feature a high-end triple-camera setup that features:
- 50MP primary sensor for detailed and sharp images
- 8MP secondary camera for versatile photography
- 50MP periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities
Furthermore, Hasselblad’s camera tuning is expected to enhance the photography and video recording experience with professional-grade results.
Price and availability
While Oppo has not officially revealed the price, reports suggest that the Find N5 will be a premium flagship device that is expected to be priced around ₹1,20,000. The phone will be available in China first, followed by a global rollout in select markets.
