OnePlus 15R Launch Date Confirmed: Specs, Features & Design Details

OnePlus recently launched its new OnePlus 15, and now the company is launching another new phone. Yes, the company is also launching the OnePlus 15R. The official launch date for this device has also been confirmed. This phone is being positioned as a value-focused entry in the upcoming OnePlus 15 series.

The company will launch not only the OnePlus 15R but also the new OnePlus Pad Go 2, an upgrade to the original Pad Go from 2023. Additionally, OnePlus is expected to launch a new stylus accessory with the Pad Go 2, designed for everyday note-taking and basic creative tasks. The company is launching all these devices on December 17th.

OnePlus has not yet confirmed the price of the OnePlus 15R, but the R series has traditionally been positioned in the upper mid-range segment. According to reports, the OnePlus 15R is expected to have a starting price of around ₹44,999.

The company hasn't yet shared the specifications of the OnePlus 15R, but it's rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This will be a lower-end version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 found in the OnePlus 15, capable of clock speeds up to 3.8 GHz. This upcoming OnePlus phone could launch in the Indian market with 16GB of RAM, with the base variant offering 12GB of RAM.

According to the leaked details, this smartphone could be launched with a 7,800mAh battery. It's worth noting that the OnePlus 15 launched with a 7,300mAh battery. This means the 15R could feature a larger battery than the 15. If this leak proves accurate, the OnePlus 15R could become the company's smartphone with the largest battery.

To charge the larger battery faster, the OnePlus 15R 5G could be equipped with 120W fast charging technology. This charging technology is also available in the OnePlus 15. The 15R is also expected to support 50W wireless charging.

The 15R is expected to launch with a 165Hz refresh rate screen, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 15. According to leaks, the 15R will use a BOE LTPO OLED panel. This will be a flat phone display that supports 1.5K resolution. Users will also receive an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Indian mobile users will be able to purchase the OnePlus 15 in Infinite Black, Sand Storm, and Ultra Violet colors.
