OnePlus 15R Ace Edition Launching in India: New Electric Violet Color & More

OnePlus announced on Thursday that the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will launch in India alongside the standard OnePlus 15R model. It will be offered as the third color option for the OnePlus 15R, joining the previously announced Charcoal Black and Mint Green shades. The Electric Violet variant of the OnePlus 15R is confirmed to have cosmetic differences compared to the other two color options, while the key specifications of the handset will remain the same.

'Ace' Imprint in Design

The OnePlus 15R Ace Edition is said to have a fiberglass back panel. It features a special coating with the word "Ace" written on it. The new colorway is similar to the Electric Violet shade of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which launched in China on December 3. It's worth noting that the OnePlus 15R

• The teaser released indicates that the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will have a fiberglass back panel. It features a special coating with the word "Ace" written on it.
• This new color option is similar to the Electric Violet shade of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which was launched in China on December 3. Interestingly, the OnePlus 15R is also believed to be a rebranded version of the same smartphone.
• The OnePlus 15R Ace Edition features only external changes; the internals are identical to the standard model. It has been confirmed that it will feature a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate.
• According to the brand, the handset will have a 450PPI pixel density and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. OnePlus says the 15R's display supports a brightness range of 2 nits to 1,800 nits.
• Like the flagship OnePlus 15, the 15R will also come with the DetailMax Engine for computational photography. It has also been confirmed that it will feature Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and Clear Night Engine technologies.
• OnePlus has designed the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset in collaboration with Qualcomm, and the OnePlus 15R will be the first smartphone to feature this processor.
• It has also been confirmed that the phone will feature the new G2 Wi-Fi chip and a touch response chip.

The company stated in a press note that the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition will be available for purchase in India from Amazon and the OnePlus India website. It will launch on December 17th alongside the standard OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2.

The addition of the Electric Violet colorway means that the OnePlus 15R will now be sold in three color options in the country: Charcoal Black, Electric Violet, and Mint Green.
