The British smartphone maker is rumoured to be developing the Nothing Phone 3a as a successor to the Phone 2a. While this model is likely to launch, it will reportedly be accompanied by another model codenamed “Pro” – a first for the company. This follows earlier speculation that Nothing is planning to launch three smartphones before introducing its flagship Phone 3 later this year.
1. About the Nothing Phone 3a
If the Nothing Phone (2a) changed into any indication, the imminent Nothing Phone (3a) is predicted to be a stable mid-variety tool that blends affordability and fantastic layout language. Although Nothing hasn’t revealed any details yet, leaks and rumours suggest it will have:
- Display: 6.8-inch OLED show with a 120Hz refresh rate, possibly sticking to a flat-panel design.
- Chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen three chipset, an improvement over the Dimensity 7200 Pro at the phone (2a).
- Camera: Triple-camera system with a 50MP primary sensor, likely paired with a 50MP telephoto and 8MP ultrawide sensors with 2x optical zoom.
- Battery: 5000mAh with 45W fast charging.
- Glyph interface: The signature LED-backed Glyph interface is likely to return, but with fewer lighting elements to keep costs down.
2. About the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
Going via way of means of the name, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro might be a contemporary addition to Nothing’s portfolio. But it’s also possible that it’s the successor to the Phone 2a Plus – which has been renamed. After all, “Pro” sounds more marketable than “Plus”, right?
If that’s the case, the Phone 3a Pro is likely to have almost identical specs to the Phone 3a. Both are rumoured to have the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, but the Pro model could look different with a periscope telephoto lens instead of the standard telephoto setup on the Phone 3a.
Nothing smartphones launching on March 4
The alleged Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro are expected to launch at the company’s March 4 product showcase, Android Headlines reports. While previous leaks suggested there could be a “Plus” variant alongside the Phone 3a, this latest claim points to it being replaced by a “Pro” model.
At launch, the Nothing Phone 3a is said to be available in two configurations – 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. It could be offered in black and white colours. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro could have a 12GB+256GB variant and a single grey colour option
