Nothing Phone 3: It's rare in the smartphone industry for a brand's flagship phone to face so much criticism immediately after its launch. Something similar happened with the Nothing Phone 3. Nothing is a brand that has built a strong fan base in a very short time. The company's co-founder, Carl Pei, is already a well-known name in the tech community, so expectations were naturally quite high.
But the question is, are the criticisms leveled against the Nothing Phone 3 in reviews actually true? Or is the phone not as bad in real-world use as the internet suggests? To answer this question, I used this phone as my daily driver.
Nothing Phone 3
The Nothing Phone 3 is the company's most premium smartphone to date. Both its price and specifications place it in the flagship category. This time, the company has specifically focused on design, camera, and software experience, but some shortcomings might disappoint users.
Nothing Phone 3 Design and Display

The Nothing Phone 3's design, as always, features a transparent back, which sets it apart from the crowd. The phone feels quite premium in the hand, and the white variant looks attractive. However, its camera module design looks a bit odd and might not appeal to all users.
In terms of display, it has a 6.67-inch 1.5K resolution AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The Nothing Phone 3's display is bright, crisp, and excellent for everyday use. Thanks to the 4500 nits peak brightness, the screen is clearly visible even in bright sunlight.
However, the presence of an LTPS panel instead of an LTPO display in this price segment is a bit disappointing. Additionally, the optical fingerprint scanner and Gorilla Glass 7i protection seem a bit weak for a flagship device.
Performance and Hardware
The Nothing Phone 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, featuring UFS 4.0 storage and up to 16GB of RAM. The phone performs smoothly during everyday use, multitasking, and with demanding applications.

No significant lag was observed during gaming. However, some users might have expected a top-of-the-line processor from the Snapdragon 8 Gen series in this price range. Additionally, the use of USB 2.0 in this budget raises some questions.
Software Experience
The phone runs on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. This OS is lightweight, clean, and free of bloatware. The animations are smooth, and overall, the Nothing Phone 3 offers a premium user experience. Nothing has done a good job in terms of software.
Nothing Phone 3 Camera Review
The Nothing Phone 3's camera emerges as one of its strongest aspects. It features a 50MP main camera (with OIS), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (3x optical zoom), a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP front camera.
In good lighting conditions, the pictures are sharp, detailed, and social media-ready. The color tuning appears natural, and video stability is also good. The front camera also performs well for selfies and video calls. The camera performance was truly impressive.
Battery Life and Charging
The Nothing Phone 3 has a large 5500mAh battery. With normal usage, the phone easily lasts a full day. With 65W fast charging support, the phone charges quickly, although the charger is not included in the box.
