Nissan is working on a new mid-size SUV in India. Recently this SUV has been seen for the first time during testing. This SUV is part of the company's new planning, under which Nissan will launch four new models in India in the coming months. This new SUV can compete with popular vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara in the market.
What’s New in Design?
Sharp LED Headlights for a bold front profile
C-Shaped Air Inlets giving it a sporty character
Star-Style Alloy Wheels that catch the eye
Boxy Rear Profile adds to the muscular appeal
Premium Touches like:
Shark Fin Antenna
Integrated Roof Spoiler
Rectangular LED Tail Lamps
Even though this vehicle was seen during testing, there are many design elements that have been revealed so far. Sharp LED headlights, C-shaped air inlets, and star shape alloy wheels were clearly visible in it. The rear part of the vehicle appeared in boxy style which gives it a muscular look. Apart from this, premium design touches like shark fin antenna, integrated roof spoiler, and rectangular shaped LED tail lamps have also been seen in the SUV.
Engine and Technology
According to reports, this new SUV of Nissan will be built on Renault-Nissan's CMF-B+ platform. Initially, only petrol engine will be given in it, but later its hybrid version can also be introduced. Both manual and automatic gearboxes can be found in this SUV, so that customers can choose the variant according to their budget and requirement. Currently, Nissan has only Magnite SUV in India. In such a situation, this new mid-size SUV can help the company strengthen in the mid-segment.
Can This SUV Bring Nissan Back into the Game?
This new SUV of Nissan can become an opportunity to give a strong identity to the company in India again. Its design, platform and possible hybrid technology can make it a strong option in the segment. If this SUV is launched with the right features and at the right price, then it can give tough competition to popular vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara.
