Navratri Kanya Pujan 2024: Know Ashtami and Navami date, When to Worship Kanya 10 or 11?

Sharadiya Navratri started on 3 October this year, which will conclude on 11 October. The idol of Mata Durga will be immersed on 12 October. Usually, girls are worshiped and fed on the day of Navami, but some devotees also worship Kanya on the day of Ashtami.
In Navratri, the law of Kanya Bhojan on Ashtami and Navami is mentioned in the scriptures. The fact behind this is also mentioned in the scriptures that by feeding nine girls aged 2 to 10 years, all types of defects are eliminated. At the same time, if the girls are below 10 years of age, then the person never faces shortage of money and his life remains progressive.
This year the Ashtami Tithi of Sharadiya Navratri is starting from 12:31 pm on October 10, which will end the next day on October 11, 2024 at 12:06 pm.
As soon as Ashtami Tithi ends, Navami Tithi will start, which will end on October 12 at 10:57 am. Based on Udayatithi, this time the fast of Ashtami and Navami Tithi will be observed on the same day i.e. October 11, 2024.
Kanya Pujan on Maha Ashtami - can be done on 11th October from 07:47 am to 10:41 am.
After this, it can be done from 12:08 pm to 1:35 pm.
Worship of the Mother is incomplete without Kanya Pujan

Kanya Pujan on Maha Ashtami - can be done on 11th October from 07:47 am to 10:41 am.

Worship of Kanya and Goddess's weapons
On Ashtami, worship Mother Shakti in various ways. On this day, the weapons of the Goddess should be worshipped. On this date, various types of worship and havan should be done with special prasad to please the Goddess. Also, 9 girls should be fed considering them as the form of the Goddess. Special prasad should be offered to Mother Durga on Durgashtami. After the puja, one should celebrate the festival of bhajan, kirtan, dance etc. by doing Ratri Jagran. - On the day of Kanya Puja, the girls who come home should be welcomed with a true heart. This pleases the Goddess.
- After this, their feet should be washed with clean water. This destroys the sins of the devotee. After this, one should touch the feet of all the nine girls and take their blessings. This leads to the progress of the devotee.
- After washing their feet, the girls should be made to sit on a clean seat. Now kumkum tilak should be applied on the forehead of all the girls and Kalawa should be tied. Before feeding the girls, offer the first part of the food to the Goddess, then feed all the girls.
- Although halwa, gram and puri are offered to Maa Durga. But if you are not able to do so, then you can feed the girls as per your wish.
- After the meal is over, give dakshina to the girls according to your capacity. Because charity is incomplete without Dakshina. If you want, you can also give any other gift to the girls.
- Finally, when the girls leave, touch their feet and take their blessings and meditate on the Goddess and ask for forgiveness for any mistake committed during the Kanya Bhojan. By doing this, the Goddess is pleased and all the troubles of the devotees are removed.
