Nagchandreshwar Temple Darshan 2025: Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh is called the city of temples. Many divine and ancient temples here are the center of people's faith. All of these have some belief and tradition associated with them. One such temple is that of Lord Nagchandreshwar.

Nag Panchami festival will be celebrated on 29th July this year in the Mahakaleshwar temple. During this time, the doors of Nagchandreshwar temple, which open once a year, will remain open for 24 hours. During this time, the process of darshan will continue uninterrupted till 12 o'clock on the night of 29th July.

Every year on the day of Nag Panchami, the doors of Nagchandreshwar temple, located in the courtyard of Mahakaleshwar temple are opened. This year, Nag Panchami is on 29th July. In such a situation, the doors of Lord Nagchandreshwar located in Shri Mahakaleshwar temple will remain open for the darshan of devotees from midnight of 28th July to midnight of 29th July i.e., for the whole 24 hours.

  • Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is established in the sanctum sanctorum of the Mahakal temple. Omkareshwar Mahadev is seated above them. The charming idol of Lord Nagchandreshwar is seated on the topmost floor. As soon as you enter the upper floor, you can see the charming idol of Lord Nagchandreshwar on the right side.
  • Devotees consider themselves blessed by seeing the charming idol of Shiva-Parvati seated on the seat of Sheshnag. This rare idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati seated on Sheshnag is in the Nagchandreshwar temple built in the middle of the peak of this 11th-century Parmar period temple.
  • There is also a belief that by seeing Lord Nagchandreshwar on Nagpanchami, the inauspicious effect of planetary defects related to Rahu-Ketu, such as Kalsarpa, is reduced.

The collector gave instructions

Lakhs of devotees are expected to come on Nagpanchami. Given this, a meeting was organized in which Collector Roshan Kumar Singh gave instructions to make foolproof arrangements for the convenience and safety of the devotees in the temple.

In this, special attention will be given to facilities like smooth darshan system, parking, traffic control, cleanliness, drinking water and first aid. Also, technical investigation of the aero bridge going to Nagchandreshwar temple will also be done so that security can be ensured.

Possibility of a heavy crowd gathering

This time Nag Panchami is falling on Tuesday. Just before this, Baba Mahakal's procession will be taken out on Monday, while a day before this, there is a holiday on Sunday. In such a situation, a huge crowd of devotees is likely to gather on the occasion of Nag Panchami. Controlling the crowd will be a big challenge for the administration.

How will the darshan system be in Nagchandreshwar?

Devotees coming to visit Nagchandreshwar God on Nag Panchami will have to park their vehicles in Karkraj parking. After this, shoes will have to be removed at the shoe stand near Bhil Samaj Dharamshala and stand in line for darshan. From here, entry will be available to the temple from Gate No. 4 in front of Bada Ganesh Temple via Ganga Garden Marg, Chardham Temple Parking, Zigzag Path, Harsiddhi Chauraha, Rudra Sagar Wall and Vikram Tila.

From here, devotees will be able to have darshan of Lord Nagchandreshwar via Vishradham and Aero Bridge. After the darshan, devotees will come out from in front of Bada Ganesh Mandir via Vishradham ramp, marble corridor and newly constructed ramp and then via Aero Bridge.
