Motorola is back in the flagship game and it feels personal this time.

After nearly two quiet years in the premium slab, Motorola is ready to make noise with the Motorola Signature, launching in India tomorrow, January 23. Ahead of the official reveal, leaked pricing details have surfaced online, and if they hold true, Motorola might have just thrown a solid punch at OnePlus, iQOO, and even Samsung’s entry flagships.

This isn’t just another phone launch. It’s Motorola’s statement comeback.

Motorola Signature price leak

According to a reliable tipster, the Motorola Signature will start at Rs 59,999 in India for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. That number matters.

Why? Because it’s the same starting price as Motorola’s last true flagship, the Edge 50 Ultra, launched back in 2024. In a market where flagship prices are creeping dangerously close to Rs 90,000, this feels refreshingly bold.

Here’s the leaked price breakup:

  • 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: Rs 59,999
  • 16GB RAM + 512GB storage: Rs 64,999
  • 16GB RAM + 1TB storage: Rs 69,999

This is significantly lower than the earlier leaked “box price” of Rs 84,999 for the top variant. Frankly, that older leak never made sense, and this new pricing feels far more in line with Motorola’s value-driven DNA.

Motorola Signature launch details

The Motorola Signature will officially launch in India on January 23, 2026, and it’s a Flipkart-exclusive device.

Motorola is also expected to sweeten the deal with:

  • Up to Rs 5,000 bank discount
  • Up to Rs 7,500 exchange bonus

If those offers go live, the effective price could dip well below Rs 55,000, dangerous territory for competitors.

Motorola Signature specifications

Let’s be clear: Motorola didn’t cut corners here.

The Motorola Signature packs a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with:

  • 165Hz refresh rate
  • Up to 6,200 nits peak brightness
  • Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support
  • Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which may not be Qualcomm’s absolute top chip, but in real-world use, it’s a beast. For daily tasks, heavy gaming and content creation, it’s more than enough.

RAM and storage options go all the way up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, which is about as premium as it gets in 2026.

Motorola Signature camera setup

Camera performance has often been Motorola’s weak spot, but the Motorola Signature seems determined to fix that.

You get:

  • 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 main sensor with OIS
  • 50MP ultra-wide lens (also doubles as macro)
  • 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
  • 50MP front camera with autofocus

Video recording goes up to 8K at 30fps, which instantly puts it in flagship territory. Early impressions suggest Motorola’s new “Signature filter” could finally give its camera output a recognizable personality and that’s long overdue.

Motorola Signature battery and software

The phone is backed by a 5,200mAh battery, which may look modest in a world of 7,000mAh monsters, but Motorola has clearly prioritised design and ergonomics.

Charging support includes the following:

  • 90W wired fast charging
  • 50W wireless charging
  • Reverse wired and wireless charging

On the software side, the Motorola Signature runs Android 16 out of the box with Hello UI, and seven years of OS and security updates. That’s not just competitive; that’s confident.

Motorola Signature design

At just 6.99mm thickness and 186g weight, the Motorola Signature is surprisingly slim for a flagship. The IP68 and IP69 ratings, aluminium frame, and leather-finish back give it a genuinely premium feel.

Two colour options will be available:

  • Pantone Martini Olive
  • Pantone Carbon

It looks elegant, not flashy and that’s exactly the point.

Motorola Signature feels like a reset button

If Motorola prices the Signature exactly as leaked, this phone becomes impossible to ignore.

It’s not chasing gimmicks. It’s chasing relevance and doing it with restraint, confidence  and surprisingly sharp pricing. For buyers tired of overpriced flagships that don’t feel special anymore, the Motorola Signature could be the most emotionally satisfying launch of early 2026.

Tomorrow’s launch will confirm everything. But right now? Motorola has my attention and that says a lot.
