The teaser, shared through official channels in China, highlights a greater focus on AI-driven features and positions the device as a step up from the existing Moto X70 Air. Early leaks and regulatory listings suggest the upcoming Pro model will offer faster charging and improved performance, with a launch expected in January and a global release under the Edge branding.

The teaser was shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo and describes the Moto X70 Air Pro as "more Pro" with enhanced AI features. Another official post teases an AI-supported triple rear camera unit, including a periscope telephoto camera.

Listings on regulatory websites have revealed further details about the Moto X70 Air Pro. The phone is believed to have the model number XT2603-1 and reportedly appeared in China's 3C certification database with 90W wired fast charging support. The listing also suggests it will likely have a larger battery, although the exact capacity is not yet known. This is an upgrade from the 67W charging found in the Moto X70 Air and its global counterpart, the Motorola Edge 70.
The Moto X70 Air Pro also previously appeared on Geekbench, suggesting it will feature the alleged Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chipset. However, some uncertainty remains, as separate leaks suggest that Motorola is also working on a high-end device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which could be launched as a separate model under the Edge or Signature branding.
Motorola introduced the Moto X70 Air in October as a slim smartphone, competing with ultra-thin rivals like the iPhone Air. The company has now indicated that it plans to continue this form factor by adding a Pro variant with faster charging and improved performance. More details about the Moto X70 Air Pro, including specifications and availability, are expected to be announced closer to the launch.
