Microsoft to kill Internet Explorer 11 permanently

Microsoft is finally killing off Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 PCs. The final decision to remove the browser from Windows 10 PCs was taken in December 2022.

At this point in time, we can’t even count the number of times the removal of Internet Explorer has been listed, and the reason for this is the multinational technology has been in the process for many years.

2020 was the year when the termination of support for Windows 11 was initially announced, followed by June 2022. Microsoft was anticipated to remove the browser entirely for Edge. 

What happened in the last, although, is only the date when Microsoft started to shift users far from Internet Explorer and to Microsoft Edge, so not every person was quickly impacted.

No access to Internet Explorer 11

The multinational technology has been collecting feedback and doing developments to this option, and optimistically, everyone should have an effortless time shifting to the new browser now.

Furthermore, killing off Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10, you will also not be able to download the browser on Windows 7. This thing will almost make it impossible to access the browser after today.

Undoubtedly, Microsoft also left support for Windows 7 as well as Windows 8.1, so it doesn’t really matter if Internet Explorer can be accessed on those versions. Windows 11 so far was sent without raising Internet Explorer 11 from the start. 

At the time the browser will be eliminated, you may still see some icons as well as some referenced to Internet Explorer on Windows 10 for some time.
