2025 MG Hector Facelift: A Premium SUV Evolution with Bold Design Changes

JSW MG Motor India has released a teaser for the Hector facelift on its social media pages. The brand has also confirmed that the Hector facelift will launch on December 15th. This will be the SUV's second facelift since its launch in 2019. The Hector is a premium car in the company's portfolio. It was with this model that the company entered the Indian market. What’s New in the 2025 MG Hector Facelift?

  • The company has released a teaser for the new Hector facelift, which suggests that it is unlikely to see any major changes.
  • To give it a more premium and sophisticated look, the brand will rework the front grille. The teaser suggests that the grille is inspired by a honeycomb design and will be finished in chrome.
  • The MG logo will be centered, but the bumper may see some minor changes. The split headlamp design will be retained at the front. So, the daytime running lamps will be placed above the fog lamps, and the headlamps will be located lower in the bumper.

  • Expect new alloy wheels with a machined finish, while the thick plastic cladding and roof rails will remain. At the rear, there may be minor changes to the bumper and some changes to the lighting elements.
  • The light bar will be carried over from the current model. The cabin for the Hector facelift is expected to remain the same. However, JSW MG Motor India may introduce some new upholstery and colors to the dashboard and seats.

Engine and Performance: Does the MG Hector Facelift Get Any Updates?

  • The MG Hector Facelift model will also include features like a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a powered driver's seat, and a panoramic sunroof.
  • The Hector facelift's engine options will remain unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
  • It comes only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also has a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Gearbox options will include a CVT automatic unit and a 6-speed manual unit.
