Major accident in Nepal: Helicopter crashes in Nuwakot, 4 killed: Report

A helicopter crashed in Suryachaur, Nepal on Wednesday. Four Chinese citizens were on board this helicopter. The helicopter took off at 1:54 pm and lost contact with air traffic control three minutes later. Last month, a plane crash occurred in the capital Kathmandu in which 18 people died.

According to the Kathmandu Post report, a Nepal Police spokesperson said that five people, including four Chinese citizens, have died in a helicopter crash in Shivapuri National Park in Nuwakot on Wednesday afternoon. Nepal Police spokesperson DIG Dan Bahadur Karki told the Post that all five people on board the helicopter have died.

The helicopter was going from Kathmandu to Syaprubesi

Tribhuvan International Airport spokesperson Subhash Jha said that Air Dynasty's 9N-AJD helicopter took off from Kathmandu to Syaprubesi, Rasuwa at 1:54 pm. It was being flown by Captain Arun Malla. According to spokesperson Karki, the accident site is located in Suryachaur of Nuwakot near the capital Kathmandu.

How did the helicopter crash happen?

The reason for the helicopter crash is believed to be a collision with a hill. According to reports, the helicopter with five people took off from Kathmandu, Nepal. It was heading towards Rasuwa. Then the helicopter collided with a hill in Surya Chaur-7 of Nuwakot district. After colliding with the hill, the plane caught fire and 4 people inside lost their lives. The helicopter lost contact 3 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu's TIA. After a brief search, the helicopter was found crashed in Nuwakot.

A helicopter crash had happened earlier too

Let us tell you that this is not the first time that news of an accident has come to light in Nepal. On July 24 also, a plane crashed in Nepal. The plane caught fire as soon as it took off from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Out of the 19 passengers on the plane, 18 died in the fire. Children were also among the dead.
