Mahindra XUV700 Facelift update: Mahindra and Mahindra are preparing for a busy end of the year as the facelifted version of the XUV700 gets ready for launch. According to a report, the name of the XUV700 is expected to change to XUV 7XO by late December or early January, similar to the XUV300. The company has reportedly filed the trademark ‘XUV 7XO’ in an effort to give the SUV a refreshed identity, along with cosmetic updates, new features, and technological additions.
The report stated that the company is also expanding this naming pattern, with trademarks for XUV 1XO and XUV 5XO having been filed as well.

Mahindra’s popular three-row SUV will not only be updated with sharper styling and more equipment through the XUV 7XO, but the brand will also promote a unified ‘XO’ naming strategy. Meanwhile, Mahindra’s electric lineup is also being prepared, with the all-electric XEV 9S confirmed for launch on 27 November 2025.
Mahindra has filed a Trademark for the Name “XO”
A trademark application for the ‘XUV 7XO’ name has been submitted by Mahindra, suggesting a shift from the current XUV700 nameplate. This move mirrors Mahindra’s earlier action when the XUV300 was renamed XUV 3XO.

By giving the facelifted model a new identity, the major design changes, advanced features, and updated technology are intended to be emphasized. The new name is seen as creating excitement in the market and is used to help distinguish the upgraded model from the existing XUV700. Overall, Mahindra’s commitment to innovation and competitiveness in the fast-growing SUV segment is reflected in the decision to rename it as XUV 7XO.
