The first official teaser reveals a refreshed and more futuristic design language. The front fascia gets new 7-shaped LED DRLs, which smartly wrap around the headlight units, giving the SUV a striking and instantly recognizable appearance. The headlamp cluster now includes new trapezoidal LED light units inspired by Mahindra’s new-gen electric SUVs like the XEV 9S.

The SUV also gets new LED tail-lights featuring a redesigned light signature. While the core body structure and silhouette will remain close to the existing XUV700, the XUV 7XO design receives subtle yet impactful enhancements through revised bumpers, a fresh chrome-tipped grille with Mahindra’s signature slats, and new alloy wheel styles.

Spy images also suggest a slightly more muscular stance, helping the SUV stand out further in a segment filled with modern-looking rivals.

Inside, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to leap in technology and luxury. The highlight is likely to be a new triple-screen dashboard layout, similar to what was showcased in the XEV 9S. This includes the following:

  • A redesigned infotainment system
  • A fully digital driver's display
  • A new passenger-side interactive display
  • Premium comfort features could include the following:
  • Massaging front seats
  • Rear ventilated seats (6-seater variants)
  • Sliding second-row seats for better space flexibility

Mahindrawill continue to offer premium features like a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat with memory, dual-zone climate control, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, the XUV700 has already been one of the safest SUVs in India, and the facelift will maintain that reputation with 7 airbags (6 standard), Level 2 ADAS, Electronic Stability Control, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, auto headlamps, and an electronic parking brake.

Under the hood, Mahindra is expected to continue offering the same powerful drivetrain options from the XUV700. This includes the following:

  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol
  • 2.2-litre diesel with multiple tuning states

Both engines are paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, while the diesel unit will continue to offer an optional AWD system on higher variants.

The XUV700 currently costs between ₹13.66 lakh – ₹23.71 lakh. The XUV 7XO will have additional features and design improvements and the XUV 7XO price is expected to start around ₹15 lakh (ex-showroom). After its launch, the SUV will continue to compete with: Mahindra Scorpio N, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus. The next Tata Safari and Harrier model, which will be petrol-based, will make the competition even more exciting and thrilling.
