Could Dakota Johnson’s Madam Web Movie Series Save The Marvel Declining Hype

Dakota Johnson starrer Madame Web will be released on Today on Valentine’s Day. Marvel is back again with its clairvoyance, Deja vu & thriller movie. The movie was not widely screened by the critics ahead of its release. It was premiered on Monday at the Los Angeles.

Director Clarkson is known for her previous Marvel work like Jessica Jones, The Defenders, Heroes, Bates Motel & Succession. She is excited about the movie as she said it takes her to the nostalgia of 2000s time.

Madame Web movie Starring Dakota Johnson as the main lead, Euphoria starring Sydney Sweeney, Serpent movie actor Tahar Rahim also plays a side role in the movie.

Cassandra Webb is a New York City Paramedic, suddenly she starts to show signs of clairvoyance,  who can see the future. In the meanwhile, she must protect three young women from the mysterious adversary who wants them dead. Below you can  watch the trailer -:

 

Director S.J. Clarkson discuss excitedly about the movie and said “ I didn’t set out to do anything specifically other than I knew I wanted to make a psychological thriller,” she explained. “I wanted to make a film but not think about it as real traditional filmmaking in the true sense of the word but more of a situation where we happen to have this wonderful sort of universe and sandbox to play in.”

The Critics Were Not Satisfied With Madame Web Movie

The Madame Web movie premiered last week in Los Angeles. When the movie trailer came out, everyone thought that the movie would save the sinking universe of because, after Avengers, it failed to deliver any box-office success. Many pundits who watched the movie during the premiere, said it was embarrassing.

You tuber Cris Parker wrote “MadameWeb is an embarrassing mess. Talented stars wasted on probably the worst comic book movie I have ever seen. Filled with atrocious dialogue, awkward editing & all around laughable structure. I sat there baffled scene by scene someone approved this. The memes will redeem it.”

But he praises the performance of Dakota.

Hollywood Handle described it “a clunky, poorly-written, messy, and sloppy movie packed with some mediocre editing and performances”. In a tweet, the reviewer added: “Even though it had solid cinematography and an interesting concept, it couldn’t be saved due to its terrible execution.”

Another Youtuber wrote “#MadameWeb is yet another disappointing entry in the Sony Universe, Dakota Johnson is a stand-out, but unfortunately, that’s not the case for the rest of the cast.”

After so many disappointing remarks many think that superheroes are unable to attract viewers or maybe audiences are fed up with the superhero world. Few dubbed it as a Superhero fatigue.
