Now it has become easier for iPhone users to identify the caller. A new app called LiveCaller has been launched, which is a free alternative to apps like Truecaller and Hiya. This app uses the Live Caller ID lookup framework introduced in Apple’s iOS 18.2 update, so that users can see the caller’s information on the call screen in real-time during an incoming call.

When a user receives a call through LiveCaller App, the app identifies the number by encrypting it. The company claims that the entire process is secured with end-to-end encryption and no call data is stored.
Huge losses due to fraud calls in India
According to government data, more than Rs 177 crore was lost in India in 2024 due to phone fraud alone, which is double the amount from last year. In such a situation, the need for apps like LiveCaller is being felt more than ever.
