Because according to the Panchang, the Ashtami date of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha will start on 26 August Monday at 03:39 am, which will end on 27 August at 02:19 am. In such a situation, according to the Udayatithi, Janmashtami will be celebrated on 26 August and fasting and worship will be done on this day.

Let us tell you that Janmashtami is also celebrated for two days. Actually, due to different dates in Smarta and Vaishnava sects, Janmashtami is celebrated differently. Smarta sect worships on the first date of Janmashtami and Vaishnava sect worships on the second date.

This year, on the day of Krishna Janmashtamii.e. 26 August 2024, Jayanti Yoga is also being formed along with Shubh Yog. In astrology, it is called Jayanti Yoga.

According to religious beliefs, Rohini Nakshatra was on Bhadrapada Ashtami at the time of Shri Krishna's birth in Dwapar Yuga. The moon was in Taurus. This year too, the moon will be in Taurus on Janmashtami. At the same time, Rohini Nakshatra will remain from 3:55 pm on August 26 to 3:38 pm the next day.

Along with this, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will also remain. The time from 12:01 am to 12:45 am on August 26 is auspicious for the worship of Bal Gopal. In such a situation, there will be only 45 minutes for Janmashtami Puja.
