Meanwhile, big news has come out about the formidable wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul. Actually, news is spreading on social media that Lucknow Super Giants is going to trade with Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2024. LSG can include Harshal Patel in the team in place of KL Rahul. However, no public statement has been issued regarding this. Therefore it is being considered as a mere rumour.
KL Rahul was made captain in IPL 2022
Lucknow Super Giants is one of the new teams of IPL. It played the first edition of the tournament in the year 2022. Before IPL 2022, the team management of Lucknow Super Giants had given the responsibility of captaincy to KL Rahul. Under his leadership the team has played 28 matches, out of which LSG has won 17 matches. He has faced defeat in the remaining 10 matches. Apart from this, the team has failed to make it to the finals. However, Lucknow’s performance under the leadership of Rahul has been impressive.
BCCI Started Preparation For IPL
After the end of ICC ODI World Cup 2023, the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has started preparations for IPL 2024. IPL 2024 auction is to be held in Dubai on 19th December. But before that all the franchises are preparing their retain list.
