Kia Launches Its More Powerful And Feature-Rich ‘Carens’

Kia has introduced the upgraded Carens and unveiled its new values online. It has new powertrains, transmissions, and more features like that. After getting new upgrades, the MPV is now valued from Rs 10.45 lakh to Rs 18.95 lakh, ex-showroom. 

The brand new Carens comes with a 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, taking the place of the 1.4-liter turbo petrol unit. The new engine purports to give 20PS more and drops the manual shift for an iMT at the same time, it carries on with its seven-speed DCT.

The Carens Turbo model witnesses a price surge of Rs 50,000 for all the models (it does not include the base Premium).

As it is stated before, Kia is dropping the conventional three-pedal manual shifting setup from its diesel-supported models. The Carens diesel models are now provided having an iMT transmission, as well as the current six-speed torque changer automatic.  

The Features Of This Brand New Kia

The 116/250 Nm 1.5-liter diesel engine is now BS6 Phase 2 complaint also. The iMT models are valued at Rs 50,000 in diesel manual trims. The diesel automatic amalgamation is restricted to the top-spec Luxury Plus model.

The cost of this model is Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 18.95 lakh, taking Rs 50,000 extra for its BS6 Phase 2 compliance update.

The feature-enriched MPV now provides much more as standard. The 12.5-inch digitized instrument cluster, which was provided before from the second-to-base Prestige variant, is now standard.
