Kia Carens Clavis EV New Variants Launched in India: Price, Range, and Features

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Given the growing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian market, manufacturers are introducing and launching new vehicles. Kia Motors recently launched two new variants of its electric MPV, the Kia Carens Clavis EV. We'll cover these features and their prices in this article.

New Variants Launched

Kia has launched two new variants of the Kia Carens Clavis EV, a budget MPV segment vehicle, in the Indian market. With the launch of these two variants, a total of six variants of this MPV are now available for sale.

Which Variants Launched

Kia has launched the HTX E and HTX E [ER] variants of the Carens Clavis EV. One is available with a shorter range and the other with a longer range.

What are the Features?

The manufacturer has provided several excellent features. It includes a 12.3-inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a switchable touch-sensitive panel for HVAC and media controls, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof and wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat, one-touch electric tumble for the second-row seats, and a Boss Mode feature. It also includes features like 64-color ambient lighting, a floating center console, a retractable cup holder, and a Smart Pure air purifier.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: the range?

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is available in two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. According to the manufacturer, the 42 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of up to 404 kilometers, and the 51.4 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of up to 490 kilometers. It has a front-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 171 hp and 255 Nm of torque.

This motor accelerates it from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. It also features four-level regenerative braking and a steering column-mounted drive selector. It charges from 10 to 80 percent in just 39 minutes using a 100kW DC charger.

Following the launch of the new variant, Atul Sood, Senior VP and National Head (Sales and Marketing), Kia India, said, "Welcoming the festive season, we are excited to add more excitement and choice to our customers with the expanded Carens Clavis EV lineup.

Our first India-made EV has received an overwhelming response in the market, and this positive response, along with valuable customer feedback, has inspired us to introduce the new HTX E trims. These additional features are designed to make electric mobility more accessible, comfortable, and celebratory—because every journey deserves to feel special."

Price:

The two new variants launched by the manufacturer are priced at ₹19.99 lakh and ₹21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
