Kangana Ranaut's Shocking Statement: "The Film Industry is Crass!"

On the day of the release of Pathaan, Kangana Ranaut posted a tweet accusing the film industry of being "crass" in its approach to success, claiming that they like to "flash currency digits in your face" to measure the success of any endeavour.

Kangana made the Statement Just after returning to Twitter

The Bollywood actress returned to Twitter the day before and made her comment in response to the much-anticipated release of Shah Rukh Khan's film, suggesting it will have a record-breaking opening on Wednesday.

Kangana Ranaut's Shocking Statement:

She commented, “Historically, art had its beginnings in temples, then evolved to literature and theater, and finally ended up in theaters.

Even though it is an industry, it has not been developed to produce massive economic benefits like other businesses. That is why art and artists are venerated instead of industrialists and billionaires.

She added that while artists may sometimes engage in activities that are damaging to art and culture, they should do so discreetly and not brazenly.

Kangana Ranaut has yet to experience a major commercial success since her movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi grossed ₹92 crore at the domestic box office in 2019. Her subsequent films Panga, Thalaivii and Dhaakad, however, failed to attract substantial box office numbers.
