A sense of relief for the world is coming from Israel. The Defence lab of Israel, The Israel Institute For Biological Research (IIBR), is going to test a prototype of a covid-19 vaccine. However, the first tests will be conducted on rodents so the test results may vary.

Earlier in February, The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, had given ordered to the IIBR to help to fight the coronavirus. Recently, a statement from the office of PM came that discloses the progress of vaccine development, sources said.

He also added that testing the vaccine on animals is too dangerous and challenging. So, they have a unique animal for the tests, but he did not disclose much about the animal and the technology they will be using.

Apart from this, the institute is taking plasma from the body of covid-19 recovered patients. It is a part of their research and will help in making an effective vaccine.

PM Netanyahu is following the other country’s preventive measure and put a lockdown. He has also gone under self-isolation. Beside him, Israel’s military chief, Lieutenant-General Aviv Kohavi, is also under self-isolation. Both Netanyahu and Kohavi have been exposed to the carriers of covid-19, after which they have isolated themselves.

The test report of Netanyahu is negative that came on Monday, but the test reports of Kohavi are pending. Till now, there are 4,473 cases of covid-19 in Israel.

With the development of a covid-19 vaccine prototype, Israel is giving some hope to cure the coronavirus.
