Indian Cricket Team Displaced As World No.1 In Tests, Know Which Team Took The Place

On Friday, India lost its first position in ICC Tests when the ICC rankings were released with New Zealand, Australia, and India. According to the new ICC ranking, New Zealand got 115 points, Australia got 116 points, and India got 114 points.

ICC stated that,

“India has yielded the top spot for the first time since October 2016. This is large because India had won 12 Tests and lost just one Test in 2016-17, the records of which were removed in the latest update.”

“They had won all five series during this period, including against Australia and England. On the other hand, Australia had lost to South Africa as well as to India in the same period.”

India had to lose its longest steak as world No.1 in 42 months after this announcement. The way down the previous world champions the West Indies and Australia have reached the top. Significantly, they have now overtaken England’s 37-month record to reach the third place on this list.

Talking about this new list of ICC tests, the England team has now become the number one ODI team in the world, along with being the number one team of Australia Test, it is also the number one team of T20.
