India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: The Department of Posts (India Post) will close the registration for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) 2024 today, August 5, 2024. Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications for India Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024 can do so through the official website indiapostadsonline.gov.in. The correction window for GDS Recruitment 2024 application will be from August 6 to 8, 2024.

This year, this recruitment drive aims to fill 44228 Gramin Dak Sevak posts in 23 circles of the country. These posts are spread across several states including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh. Candidates will be selected as per the merit list prepared taking into account their Class 10 grades.

India Post GDS 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Secondary School Examination Pass Certificate from Class X, obtained through successful completion of Mathematics and English courses (essential or optional) conducted by any Board of School Education recognized by the Government of India, State Governments or Union Territories, is required for enrolment in all GDS programmes. Basic computer, cycling and financial literacy are essential.

Age Limit: By August 5, people between the ages of 18 and 40 can submit their GDS application forms. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

India Post GDS 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1. Visit the official India Post website indiapostgdsonline.

Step 2. Click on the “Registration” tab from the homepage.

Step 3. To sign up, provide your email address and basic information.

Step 4. A unique password and registration number will be given.

Step 5. Visit the homepage once again, and select the “Apply Online” link.

Step 6. Select your desired postal circle and enter your registration number.

Step 7. Fill in the application form with the required information.

Step 8. Upload the required files, and pay the respective fee.

Step 9. For your records, save a copy of the registration form.

India Post GDS 2024: Application Fee

Applicants have to pay a fee of Rs 100 for each vacancy announced in their preferred division. However, all female candidates, SC, ST applicants, PWD applicants, and transwomen applicants are exempted from paying the application fee.
